I have been involved in the addiction treatment and recovery world for the past 30 years. My experience includes inpatient AOD treatment, EAP, developing graduate addiction counseling programs, collegiate AOD intervention programs, and collegiate recovery programs.
My lifelong passion is advocating for people seeking long-term recovery via education, training and quality programming from a developmental and constructivist perspective.

I have had the pleasure of working with collegiate students for a number of years in a variety of settings. After spending most of my professional career in a hospital setting, I returned to the collegiate sector as an advocate for those seeking long-term recovery. I have a true passion for service work and believe recovery is the most precious gift one suffering from the disease of addiction can obtain.

I maintain a strong passion for providing quality counseling and mental health treatment to the college student population. My mental health counseling experience includes working with clients in a variety of settings such as college outpatient counseling centers, vocational/career counseling centers, private practice, and AOD treatment programs.
My academic and vocational interests remain focused on partnering with clients to navigate the many complexities associated with addressing mental health care needs and recovery from addiction through an integrative, existential, and psychodynamic perspective.

I have worked with Substance Use Disorder clients and families since 2006 through various levels of care ranging from inpatient treatment, extended treatment, and outpatient treatment.
I know what gives our clients the best chance at recovery from the disease of addiction is to have support from their families and friends and I am committed to helping facilitate this process in any way I can throughout all of our various services.

My experience is personal and professional. I am a person in long-term recovery who has used education as a method to help myself and others. I am a certified addiction counselor and have been in the field of addiction and recovery for 12 years.
I believe that all students have the opportunity to achieve their goals despite their circumstance. This is all possible as long as they have their priorities in the right place, a supportive environment and team, and the discipline to persist despite challenges.
